Stained Concrete Floors

Stained Floors

Stained concrete floors are a popular design method often seen in restaurants, businesses, basements, and custom homes. Even though stained concrete looks high-end (stained concrete is commonly mistaken for marble, granite or slate). It is often a more affordable option than traditional flooring. If you already have concrete why cover your floor with carpet or tile, why not have stained concrete floors?

There are many options and different staining techniques available. Acid staining, Semi-transparent water stains, and Acetone dyes are the most popular options used. Here at McHugh’s Decorative Concrete we install all three stain systems, depending on your needs we will help you choose the best option. We also offer a wide range of clear coat options, starting with the traditional waxable clear coat, or upgrade to an epoxy or urethane clear coat and have no maintenance floor. We even offer a breathable epoxy and urethane clear coat option that can be used on a basement floor that will hold up to hydrostatic water pressure, and if your basement floods the stained floor won’t fail.
